I am interested in Podiatry need detailed information?
I need to know specifically what college course I should take. Also some general information on Podiatry. This is one of the few high paying careers I think I would be good at and enjoy doing. I want to get started ASAP seeing as how I am already 20 years old.
What the point is of feet is their burden. Shoes is the major
contributing issue and input. One should in many people
wear shoes about 30 hours a week. Second choice is
to support the feet with proper socks, vitamins, nutrition,
exercise and shoes. Those items that come between your
socks and feet and require shoestrings to tie up is the area.
Because weight is the essential data, one should look into
this at point of md training. Heaviest requires specialty and
is not a wealthy client. So location is a question. Do you
have a present podiatrist in your area that is sufficient, and
this is another curriculum point. Hobbies, ideals, crafts,
products all items that need a proper location and course
training like fencing(as in sport), tennis, yachting are also
very fully specialized footgears and abilities to learn. This
is just one example of where to hold your studies and with
what degree of attendance. Basically pre-med, anatomy
and anatomical biology, physics, and perhaps business
office factories manufacturing courses. Take a look at my
product sketchers if you like. Some scholarships from local
interested designers. Shoes as far as I know are quite
difficult, having found very few makers with natural ability.
Natural and precise design is what I recommend presently.
There are varieties and quite interesting makers in sears,
footjoy, payless shoe, many of the oldest famous product proper makers.
Stay with your guidance counselor on curriculum, adding
personal interests as the major upgrade. Study is 20 hours
a week lowering to 15 junior senior years with some real
world part time work recommended to adjust to the real
investment obligations. Build facilities if you can for top
earnings and respectful positions.

does anyone know where you can get alzner orthotics in houston texas?thank you.
Im not sure what a 'alzner' orthotic is but if it's a custom designed one and even if not, I would think that the best place to call would be a orthotics/prosthetics place…

Foot injury Pretty painful.. answers please? ?
Ok my foot is really black and blue at the bottom of the knuckle on my foot, it hurts to walk on it, and i cant move my toe with out extreme pain.. what do you think is wrong with it? I fell like somethin is missing in between my toe joint. [ and it really sucks beacuase im on crutches for a broken patella, and the foot that is now hurting me is the one that i have all my weight on it!]
It sounds like you need to go back to the doctor. I highly doubt that the discolouration and pain is from excess pressure from putting all your weight on one foot. Sorry, that probably isn’t the answer you were looking for but that is your best bet. Nobody here is going to be able to diagnose this for you.
Good Luck

Has anyone ever had a bunionectomy and hammertoe surgury?
I am going to have a bunionectomy and hammertoe surgury in Dec, and I would like to know if anyone of you have had the procedure, and what can I expect during the recovery phase?
Unfortunately a lot of pain and discomfort for a little while after, but in the long run its certainly worth it. Just make sure you have plenty of painkillers and you will be fine. Good luck with the op.

Its sandal season. Has anyone ever been grossed out with peoples nasty bunions?
Its like cover it up already.
its not your but, bunions are on your feet.
We all are not blessed with perfect bodies, perfect feet, perfect hair, two arms, two legs, etc etc. I see no reason to be grossed out because someone has problems with their feet, they still deserve to be able to dress cool in the summer time just like the rest of us.

Sometimes I get severe pain in the arch of my foot?
Once in a while, while sitting down, I just get a severe pain in the arch of my foot, which last for maybe 5-10 seconds then goes away. It kinda feels like, hypothetically if there was a tendon in your arch, that the tendon is contracting severely. Thats just the type of sensation i get. It can occur in either foot but never at the same time in both feet, and never while im walking or anything.
Any ideas?
The most common cause of arch pain is Plantar Fasciitis. Plantar Fasciitis involves inflammation of the Plantar Fascia - the fibrous band of tissue that connects the heel bone to the toes. Someone with arch pain usually has inflammation of the tissues within the mid-foot.
Plantar Fasciitis is caused by over-stretching of the Plantar Fascia. Repeated strain can cause tiny tears in the ligament. These can lead to inflammation, irritation, pain and swelling. Arch pain is more likely to happen when:
– the feet roll inward too much (over-pronation)
– walking, standing, or running for long periods of time, especially on hard surfaces
– excess weight
– tight Achilles tendons and/or calf muscles
Medical studies on foot pain found that a combination of stretching exercises and wearing a standard, off-the-shelf orthotic shoe insert is the most effective way of dealing with arch pain. This treatment regime is also very effective for the treatment of heel pain.

What Running shoes should I wear with plantar fasciitis?
i have plantar fascitis on both my feet. i have had the surgery and it has made a world of difference. I have all way been in to athletics and with this i have not been about to do so for a few years now. I am wanting to get back in doing stuff i love. I have a set of custom made supports but i am looking for a par of running shoes that i could just ware.
is it from flat feet?
i know thats most common, but its good to check =P
luckily a doctor caught my flat feet before i got injured
and sent me to see a foot doctor.
she also gave me custom inserts,
but she said to look at asics kyanos.
they stabilize you foot,
and keep you from over pronating…
they may be able to help you,
but inserts are the best way to get and STAY injury free.

What could cause severe heel pain?
The pain is constant. There is some discomfort in the joint of two toes on the same foot with the heel pain. My walk is sometimes unbalanced. I only use tennis shoes because they seem to help.
Fibromatosis plantar fasciaitis: Its pain in heel or can be heel spurs: "splitting of bone". I work for a foot specialist and we see these types of things daily. If your instep is unbalanced, you can get a custom molded insert "like the over the counter ones you slip in your shoes" but these are made by you walking over a computerized mat that will custom mold to your walking pattern since everyone is different. Most insurance companies cover. If you have no insurace they are about $480.00. I would go see a foot/ankle doctor and have an xray or ultrasound done of the area that is causing the pain. As far as your toe pain…..it could variy depending on what the doctor diagnosis you with.
