Why Should Women Wear Minnetonka Moccasins?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: Heel Pain

Moccasins have been the object of fad for many a people since the time when the Native Americans lived. The hunters, settlers and even traders were not exempted from the charm of this unique footwear. Since then on, these shoes have been the rage for all, and with their unique quality and design, they form the cream of the fashion world.

Minnetonka Moccasins are known for manufacturing the high quality moccasins wear. The name “moccasin” came to be used around the 16th century in the Virginia Algonquian Native American language. More than just the comfort, this footwear is extremely quiet, and with them on, you do not even have to tiptoe around so as to stay low. This footwear also comes with proper traction so that you will not slip on icy floors and hurt yourself.

You may see all those pretty killer heels and go gaga over the shiny, embroidered slips and ribbons, but once you have planted your feet in them, the only sound you will make is to curse that fatal day when you decided to wear them. Seriously, try and wear those heels for over a long time, and though you might flinchingly get used to the pain, relevant issues like hip and leg aches, shoulder and back pains will surface. And the nightmare will not end here. Along with physical decrepitude shall come chronic stress, fatigue, and a stooped figure. And before you know it, from being the classy beauty, you will be now the ugly step sisters of Cinderella. There are some reasons why you should choose moccasins.

• When you wear shoes with even one inch high heel, it causes your body to stoop forward. When you wear heels, the reflux action immediately takes place in your body, like in your ligaments and joints, bones, and muscles and tendons, which instantly change their positions. If you persistently keep on wearing high heels, your several body parts will be eventually disfigured. And voila! The ugly beast is here!

• Just imagine what this could do to you. Instead of walking straight, as supple and graceful as the willow in the wind, you stagger with a stoop. Your body leans forward because of the disfigurement, but people being unaware of that will automatically think that you have something to say to them, and so look at you questioningly. But what will you do then? Can you say,” uhm, sorry sir, I am just leaning forward because of my high painful heels. I have nothing to say to you.”?

• It is indeed much more appealing to walk in with you back erect, strong and regal. People will not only look back and take notice of you, but they will also come up to you to share some pleasantries. And the best way to do that is by wearing Women’s Minnetonka Moccasins.

• If you need more convincing, the best thing that you can do is learn a little more about the way the women’s Minnetonka moccasins are made. The shoes are made without giving them a permanent form, and they are rather made inside out. Bottom seams being turned towards the foot helps in making them stronger and more durable. They will not rip apart easily. Soft wool of lamb is used to line the inside of the shoe, and that is the secret of their heavenly comfort.
So, why wait any further? Get yourself the beautiful women’s Minnetonka moccasins today and paint faces of admiration wherever you go!

Finding the Right Insole for Your Foot Pain

Posted by: admin  :  Category: Feet Pain

If you enjoy watching Survivor on television, you may remember a challenge a few years ago where the winning team won Dr. Scholl’s gel insoles. If you’re a fan of late night infomercials, you’ve surely seen many devoted to shoe insoles to make our feet more stable. We are inundated with advertising for products to make our feet feel better. One thing is for certain…our feet hurt!!

Which is the right insole for us? Is it one that can be found in a drug store or supermarket? One that I saw in a shoe store? How about the guy in the mall who told me I can stand on a platform for a custom fit? Do I need to see a doctor?

Let’s start at the bottom. The insoles you will find in a pharmacy are little more than replacement sock-liners for your tennis shoes. They are flexible and offer little support. The gel insoles offer no support, but do offer cushioning for those whose natural fat padding has worn away.

The next level is an insole that you’ll find in an athletic shoe store. These often have a plastic, graphite, or rubber shell that, while flexible, does offer support. Who are these right for? Anyone having minor to moderate pain in the heel, Achilles tendon, shin splints, or elsewhere in the foot should notice some improvement. If the pain persistes beyond two to four weeks, you should consult a podiatrist. A word of warning: Generic arch supports are only appropriate for those with “flat feet.” If you have a high arch, these insoles may make your pain worse.

Then there are the “experts” at shoe stores and mall kiosks who pull out all of the bells and whistles with a seemingly high-tech computer force plate to measure the pressures beneath the foot. Don’t waste your money! First of all, a static footprint tells very little about how the foot functions when walking. Second, before you drop lots of money on something custom, be sure that the person has a degree and not just bought into a franchise.

I’m not telling you that everyone needs a custom orthotics. I do feel that if you are suffering with foot pain to the point where you need to find a fast solution, visiting a podiatrist will ultimately provide you the most comprehensive evaluation and will work to develop a complete plan for eliminating your pain. A custom orthotic is much more than simply an arch support; it is a device formulated to balance your feet, and entire lower extremity, to allow them to function most optimally.

If you have trouble seeing when you drive, you wouldn’t solve it by buying a pair of one dollar reading glasses in the pharmacy, right? Would you want any less for your foot pain?

Fast Training Techniques for Bodybuilders on the Run

Posted by: admin  :  Category: Arch Pain

Forgive the crunch pun, but is the best way to describe these tips on how to get some quick exercise training in when you have little time to do it.  We all have busy lives but for some of us who have made it a priority to stay in top shape, with little or no time to spare, here are some ways that you can continue looking and feeling great throughout the day with little to no effort.

Quick Pull Ups

It is recommended that somewhere in your home in a place where you will not mind having installing and having a pull up bar such as a closet or the entrance to a private bathroom, that you do this for easy quick access to a few sets a day.  Making sure you are positioned right and the bar is even, doing about 3 to 4 sets per day will give you that upper body workout that you need to maintain what you have already worked hard on.

Squatting

When doing squats it is essential to make sure that you do not allow your knees to come in on the ascent.  Not using proper technique when doing a squat will result in knee problems eventually.  Doing about 3 to 4 sets of these will give you the lower back and leg strengthening you need for each day.

Simple Stretching

A lot of times we can forget that simply stretching our bodies can also work out our muscle groups and this is basically the essence to yoga.  Some people are not a fan of the art of yoga and that is perfectly fine but doing stretches not only wakes your muscle up to handle the workout for the day it still keeps tone intact.  Side stretches and floor stretches should easily provide what each muscle group needs to get awake and ready.

Some simple less time consuming floor stretches are as follows:

Sitting on the floor with your legs straight out in front of you, slowly you will posture yourself to sit straight up and reach slowly as high as you can and hold the position for 5 seconds then slowly descend to reach and touch the tip of your toes.  Be careful not to hyper-extend your feet.  Hold this position for 15 seconds and then slowly return to the upright position.  You will benefit most by doing this 5 times.

Staying in the current position, spread your legs apart just to the point of feeling the stretch in your upper thighs.  Stretching your arms up and holding the position just as in the first floor exercise and holding the position for 5 seconds and then slowly ascending to the floor and making your way to position your head as close to the floor as you can.  Be sure not to arch your back too much, trying to keep the same straight posture as you were when you were sitting straight up.  Over arching your back can cause lower back pain that could last for hours.

Doing these simple exercises once or twice per day will keep your body in check between lifting and workouts.

Woman Period Pains - Teas as Effective Pain Killers

Posted by: admin  :  Category: Aching Feet

Some fortunate women suffer no more than three days of minor inconvenience whilst others endure a week of miserable cramps, headaches, sickness and heavy bleeding. There are a great many reasons for feeling rotten, all of which have been thoroughly discussed in every magazine and book on the subject. Water retention leads to  bloated feeling, weight gain and swollen ankles and puts pressure on the liver and kidneys. Stress, depression, sleeplessness and headaches not surprisingly follow in the wake of these miseries, especially if your face has sprouted its monthly crop of acne and the hair is lank and lifeless Backache and cramp can also be caused by back problems so do not suffer needlessly but take the advice of an osteopath and ignore the concept popular amongst our male counterparts that woman is a menstruating biped with backache.

Bad temper is fairly understandable but this can flare into the unreasonable aggression associated with severe premenstrual tension. If you think that this is your problem find a sympathetic expert to advice you.

To bolster yourself against this monthly subversion from within take the following steps. Avoid coffee, tea, alcohol, stimulants, chocolate, junk food and unrefined carbohydrates. Eat a high-protein diet and lots of fresh fruit and vegetables, particularly spinach, dandelion leaves, carrots, apples and lady’s mantle which will replace lost minerals and vitamins. Iron-rich liver is also recommended. Drink lots of water.

Take plenty of exercise - walking, swimming and yoga are the best.

Take vitamin B6 or evening primrose in the eight to 10 days prior to a period but do not extend the course further. Take marigold tisane for one week before a period is due Magnesium, calcium and zinc may be taken as a supplement to relieve muscle tension whilst royal jelly, pollen and honey will further ease your tribulations. All of these sensible and gentle remedies are preferable to a dose of ergot of rye in water, opium and camphor or strong vinegar and horseradish sniffed up the nose to shake you out of your unseemly lethargy.

Effective Pain Killers

The following teas should all be made in the quantities of 1 teaspoon infused in 1 cup of boiling water for 10 minutes and taken three times a day unless stated otherwise.

·    Motherwort The oldest and gentlest of female herbs, this will rid you of a headache. Take after meals.
·    Melilot  This is the sweet yellow or bee’s clover. Take for headache and wring out I a compress for aching eyes.
·    Vervain Sip this tea for headache and tension.
·    Dandelion Take dandelion tea to alleviate water retention and a heavy bloated feeling.
·    Red raspberry leaf Drink three times a day to relieve distention.
·     Cramp bark Recommended for cramps and tension.
·    Fennel This will ease pain, tension and digestive problems.
·    Chamomile Take for pain, stress and headache with a scanty period.
·    Pennyroyal Another tea for a scanty period with pain.
·    Caraway This tea relieves a cold bloated feeling and indigestion.
·    Angelica Use to relieve pain, stress and digestive problems.
·    Yarrow Take if you suffer from excessive bleeding, cramp and tension.
·    Strawberry leaf This is another remedy for excessive bleeding.
·    Fresh fig leaves An infusion of fresh fig leaves will improve the circulation.
·    Parsley and tarragon Eat these herbs or make them into a tea.
·    Rose Use the petals of the wild or white garden rose. One drop of essential oil in hot water is very soothing and tranquillizing.
·    Safflower or linseed Steep 7 g (1/4 oz) of the seeds in 600 ml (1 pint) of boiling water, sand for five minutes then strain and drink 1 teacupful every five hours to reduce pain.
·    Peppermint, fennel and liquorice Infuse peppermint leaves ad fennel seed in liquorice water and drink. Alternatively make a tee of the first two and eat liquorice wood or sweets. If constipation and water retention are the cause of pain it will help.

A More Physical Approach

A forthright though not altogether practical suggestion comes from a very old herbal which advocates sitting over a bowl of steaming yarrow or tansy tea to relieve the pains and cramps of menstruation. A warm bath however, especially a warm sitz bath, will do much to ease the torsions and screws. Add essential oils of orange blossom or orange, chamomile, Melissa or rose to the water. Also use tem in a carrier oil to gently massage your aching tum, back and neck and the soles of your feet. Tell yourself that you love yourself, even if no one else does, and retire to bed with a hot water bottle on your stomach, a pillow beneath your knees, a good book and the best but not very herbal remedy of gin and peppermint cordial in a splash of hot water. Port and brandy is another very therapeutic dram – but take no more than that! Great-grand mothers may remember the alternatives of a hot compress and hot milk with grated nutmeg.
