How can I tell if I have plantar fasciitis or fibromyalgia? When I take neurontin & flexeril the PF is better.

I have had the diagnosis of both conditions, but how do I know if I have "real" PF or it’s just fibromyalgia in my feet? Isn’t it strange that the medications help?
These can be very frustrating situations to diagnose and treat, and also to have as a patient…if the medications work, thank God and get on with life-enjoy it while you can…good luck

the flexeril will work on the PF
the neurontin will work on the FMS
Flexeril is a muscle relaxant that only addresses the compications of FMS-tightened muscles—not the FMS itself.
FMS is a disorder of the central nervous system-flexeril does not work on the neuro system.
the Neurontin is not doing anything for PF-
PF is INFLAMMATION. FMS has NO INFLAMMATION
has your doc suggested NSAIDS (ibuprofren) and stretching-those are the primary treatments for PF
with my PF-the pain is mainly on the bottom of my foot (heel)-it often feels like I am getting poked with a pin…the pain will shoot to my toes…
It is worse when I first stand up, but quickly improves (within 30 seconds) once I walk–but too much walking/standing makes it worse…..
I just got a brace to wear at night–at Target–it holds teh ankle in a 90 degree angle….there is a medical supply catalog that has it too-i have to find teh think–my doc gave me a huge $200 boot that didn’t work because it didn’t hold my foot properly
I thought the foot pain was my FMS initially–but I happened to read a newspaper article about PF–and that is what it turned out to be…
