How hard is it to work for a pharm company with a BS in Neurobio?
Posted by: admin : Category: Podiatry
I would really love to work for a major pharm company (Pfizer, Merck, Glaxxo, etc) if I don’t get into podiatry school. Is it hard to get a position there with a BS degree in Neurobio? Thnkas!
Depends on where in the organisation you want to work, these are huge organisations and will have many opportunities.
If you want to work in research then you will need a very good BS degree or a PhD.

I’m assuming you want to be a pharma rep??? My sister was a pharma rep and had a respiratory therapy and exercise science degree. She was in the minority as one having any medical or health related degree–almost all of the other reps had unrelated backgrounds including business degrees, literary degrees, and military backgrounds. My friend is a recruiter for Pfizer and he said they actually preferred hiring reps that don’t have a health or medical degree or background because of the attitude/culture the former has when hired. Pharma companies really want people in their sales force that can be molded by the company without any preconceived notions or attitudes. If anything, they are looking for someone with the charisma and a personality conduucie to selling.
