Plantar fascia release for unresponsive heel pain. This is an out-patient procedure done under a general anaesthesia. This is a plantar instep approach which is minimally invasive. The medial one half of the plantar fascia is released. Post-operatively the patient is weight-bearing in a cast brace for 5-6 weeks. The return to normal activities is approximately 8 weeks.
